J. of Korean Academy of Medical Gi-Gong. 2009;11(1):221-235 ---------- [ABSTRACT] The Effect of Auricular Reflexology Therapy in Musculoskeletal Disease Yeongman Yeo, Myongsoo Chong* Dept. of Third Medicine, Professional Graduate School of Oriental Medicine, Wonkwang University *Dept. of Preventive Medicine, College of Oriental Medicine, Wonkwang University This study is made for the survey of the effectiveness of the auricular reflexology, now accepted as a part of alternative medicine, applied to the patients of musculoskeltal disease patients, and data about its cognition and the success rate of the therapy. 106 patient was employed in this study who works in various part in a company in Jun-ju in Junrabukdo. From them, data such as, musculoskeletal symptoms by questionnaire examination, and data from ear inspections and interviews were collected and used for the basal data. Auricular reflexology therapies were applied to them at the areas that reflect the musculoskeletal system, for five times, each time with intervals of three or four days. The data about the effectiveness were collected by questionnaire examination, including descriptive answers. The results are as follows; cognition to the auricular reflexology was 62.3%, and acceptance rate of this method was 81.1%. From this results, I think that this therapy can be easily acceptable. The success rates of this therapy were 32.1% after 1 time application, and 84.9% after 5 times applications. This result shows that auricular reflexology therapy has therapeutic effect in musculoskeletal diseases, and the success rates increase according to the application times. Between sex, its success rate were 80% in male patients, and 88.5% in female patients, so this therapy is rather more effective in female patients. According to the body weight, the success rate were 85.8% in normal weight patients, and 71.5% in over- weight patients, so this therapy is more effective in normal weight patients. Comparisons according to other factors, such as age, marriage state etc. shows no definite differences. Conclusively, I think that auricular reflex therapy is easy and useful preventative and treatment method in our usual life. With more investigation, we can apply this method to other musculoskeletal diseases and to the diseases of other systems in the body, I hope so. Key words : Auricular Reflex Therapy, Musculoskeletal Disease ---------- [목차] ABSTRACT Ⅰ. 緖論 Ⅱ. 硏究 方法 1. 硏究對象 및 資料蒐集 2. 硏究道具 3. 資料處理 및 分析方法 Ⅲ. 硏究結果 1. 對象者의 一般的인 特性 2. 症狀關聯 特性 3. 耳穴療法 認知度 4. 耳穴療法의 最初 反應 5. 耳穴療法의 最終 效果 6. 耳穴療法의 治療시 役割 7. 耳穴療法의 問題點 Ⅳ. 考察 Ⅴ. 結論 參 考 文 獻 ---------- [緖論] 耳鍼은 귀에서 각종 疾病의 反應點을 찾아 침으로 찌르고 뜸을 뜨는 등의 刺戟을 주어 질병을 治療하는 것으로서 健康에 이상이 있을 때 귀에 나타나는 반응 위치에 따라 人體內部의 장기 상태를 파악함으로써 이를 活用해 사람의 健康을 診斷하고 질병을 治療하는 방법이다. 耳鍼은 中國의 《黃帝內經》 靈樞의 邪氣臟腑病形篇에 귀에는 身體의 각 부분과 연결된 經穴이 있음이 기록되어 있으며, 고대 이집트나 그리스에서는 귀걸이 등을 이용하여 身體의 疾患을 治療한 것으로 알려져 있다. 이후 耳鍼은 1956년 Nogier가 유럽침술학술지에 태아역위지도(Ear Maps)를 發表하면서부터 본격적으로 硏究되어지기 시작하였다. 이는 장부에 疾病이 있을 때 귀로 반사되어 분포되어 있는 耳穴에 발현함을 觀察하고 이혈의 분포와 정확한 위치를 탐측하여 이것을 體系化시켜 理論的 根幹을 마련하였다. 1980년대에는 Oleson을 비롯한 여러 연구자들이 이중맹검방식을 利用하여 귀를 이용한 診斷이 筋骨格系 疾患에 있어서 대략 75% 정도의 정확도를 가지고 있음을 밝혀내기도 하였다3). 現代醫學은 세균학의 발달 및 豫防接種의 개발에 의하여 급성 전염병을 퇴치하는데 貢獻하였고, 解剖學 및 組織學의 發達 등으로 고도의 외과기술이 發達하였다. 또한 應急患者를 매우 적절하게 治療하고, 손상된 고관절이나 무릎을 效果的으로 代替하며, 성형수술과 재활수술을 훌륭하게 하고, 호르몬 결핍을 診斷하고 교정해주는데 效果的이다. 이와 같이 現代醫學은 많은 분야에서 人間을 위하여 貢獻하였다. 그러나 최근 들어 저출산 및 人口의 고령화, 만성퇴행성 질환 증가로 인하여 치료위주의 환원론적 양방의료와 달리 대상자에 대하여 전인적이고 개별적인 접근을 중시하는 韓方醫療나 代替醫療에 대한 수요가 增加하고 있다. 代替醫學에는 많은 종류가 있지만, 그 중에서도 이혈요법은 전통적으로 내려오는 이침요법과 반사학이론을 접목한 것으로 適用範圍가 광범위하고, 疾病 豫防 효과가 있으며 특히 筋骨格系 疾患에 탁월한 效果가 있다고 알려져 있다. 이에 저자는 이혈요법을 筋骨格系 疾患에 適用한 후 그 效果를 파악하여 이에 보고하고자 한다. 덧말
