Main subject : WST. is a traditional manual therapy from Do-In(導引) An-Kyo(按蹻) that treats disease by controlling Gi(Gi-Gong therapy). It makes treatment effects by pushing Sa-Gi(邪氣) which becomes aggregation-accumulation(積聚) to right places by using pointillage, stroking, and rubbing with doctor’s focused intention(意念). The cervical spine connects body and brain, so treating cervical spine could be a foundation of all treatment. Discussion : WST. is a manual therapy that treats not only muscles, nerves, vessels, joints but also Oriental medicine concept-meridian, acupoint and Gi(氣). Conclusions: 1) WST. is a traditional manual therapy using Gi-Gong, 2) WST. changes Sa-Gi(邪氣) into Jung-Gi(正氣), which means curing aggregation–accumulation(積聚), 3) Cervical WST. treats a passage that connects upper and lower parts of human body; heart and brain, and 4) Cervical WST. is a treatment to activate So-Ju-Cheon(小周天), which controls human body immunity. ---------- *Key Words : Su-Gi therapy, Gi-Gong, Whidam, Do-In(導引) An-Kyo(按蹻), aggregation–accumulation(積聚), So-Ju-Cheon(小周天) ---------- [목차] ABSTRACT Ⅰ. 緖論 Ⅱ. 本論 1. 수기요법의 개념 2. 휘담식 수기요법의 개념 1) 휘담식 수기요법 명칭의 연원 2) 휘담식 수기요법과 도인안교 3) 휘담식 수기요법의 특징 4. 휘담식 수기요법의 방법 1) 의사의 자세 2) 환자의 자세 3) 휘담식 수기요법 중 경추 수기 Ⅲ. 考察 Ⅳ. 結論 Ⅴ. 參考文獻 ---------- [緖論] 수기요법은 여러 의료방법 중에서도 가장 오래된 치료법으로, 인류역사와 함께 해오면서 경험적으로 충분히 증명이 되어온 분명하고 효과적인 치료법이다1) , 수기요법은 시술이 간편한 반면 효과가 신속하고 비교적 부작용도 적기 때문에 현재에 이르기까지 널리 이용되고 있으며2) , 학문적인 이론배경, 시대와 지역에 따른 관습에 의해 약간의 차이가 있어 각자의 특성을 가지고 다양한 수기요법이 발전하여 왔다3) . 인간이 직립보행을 하면서 가장 큰 부담을 받고 있는 곳 중 하나인 목은 현대 이르러 컴퓨터를 활용한 사무일이나 각종 스마트폰4) 등의 과용 등으로 가장 혹사 받고 있는 인체의 한 부위이다5) . 더불어 목은 몸통과 뇌를 연결하는 중요한 통로로서 고령화시대에 사회적 문제가 되고 있는 뇌기능저하와 관련하여서도 그 관리의 중요성이 부각되고 있다. 하지만 중요하고 섬세한 부위인 만큼 치료법에 있어서도 많은 제약이 있다. 『醫宗金鑑』6)에서는 전체 23개 금침혈 중 두면 및 경항 부위에만 9개를 배속하고 있으며7), 정골추나8)와 카이로프랙틱에서도 부작용에 대한 증례보고가 다수 이루어지고9), 의료사고의 위험성을 항상 염두에 두고 있다10) . 그에 반해 직접 손으로 만져 치료하는 수기요법은 상대적으로 부작용이 적을 뿐만 아니라 통로인 만큼 경근과 경락을 조절하여 전신을 치료할 수 있기에 임상적으로 매우 유용하다 하겠다. 수기요법 중 가장 보편적으로 활용되고 있는 추나요법은 최근 다빈도 질환인 근골격계 질환에 대하여 한방물리요법의 건강보험 적용확대의 내용을 근간으로 시범사업을 실시11)하게 됨에 따라 그 치료법의 의미가 부각되어지고 있다. 추나요법은 특히 교통사고 및 기타 질환군 등에서도 이용이 늘어나고 있는 추세이며, 높은 만족도와 치료효과를 나타내고 있다12). 하지만 추나요법은 『醫宗金鑑․正骨心法要旨』에서 正骨八法으로 체계화되어서 제시된 按, 摩, 推, 拿, 摸, 提, 端, 接 13) 중의 하나로 수기요법중의 한 부분이라 할 수 있다. 수기요법 중에서 조기치신을 치료의 근간으로 삼고 있는 한의사들이 시술하는 수기요법은 단순 수기요법을 넘어 기운을 직접 조절하기에 기술 기(技)자 보다는 기운 기(氣)자가 더 적절하다는 의견이 제기되고 있다. 특히 의료기공의 원리에 근간한 휘담식 수기요법은 임상례가 지속적으로 발표되고 있으나 그 구체적인 방법에 대해 서술된 연구가 없기에 본 논문에서는 다양한 手氣요법 중 휘담식 수기요법의 정의와 원리, 기법을 경추부를 중심으로 소개하고자 한다. ----------- 1) Jae Heung Lee, Hun Mo Ahn, Seung Cheol Hong, Eun Mi Lee.
